All the Private and Government Schools, Colleges, and institutions of the state have to follow these guidelines about winter vacations. All the schools, whether it is Haryana Board schools or CBSE Board Schools, will be closed during winter vacation in Haryana 2023-24. The govt has issued a notice to all the DCs of the district to keep an eye on the activities of schools.

हरियाणा में फिर से स्कूलों की छुटि्टयां बढ़ा दी हैं। सूबे में पहली से 5वीं तक स्कूल बंद रहेंगे। 27 जनवरी 2024 तक शिक्षा विभाग ने विंटर वेकेशन घोषित की है। हरियाणा के शिक्षा मंत्री कंवर पाल गुर्जर ने बताया कि लगातार बढ़ रही ठंड के चलते यह फ़ैसला लिया गया है। इससे पहले ठंड को देखते हुए सूबा सरकार ने स्कूलों की टाइमिंग में बदलाव कर चुकी है। स्कूलों को सुबह 9.30 बजे खोला जाएगा और दोपहर 3.30 तक कक्षाएं संचालित होंगी।
डबल शिफ्ट वाले स्कूलों का समय सुबह 7.55 बजे से दोपहर 12.30 बजे किया गया है। वहीं दूसरी शिफ़्ट में 12.40 से कक्षाएं शुरू होंगी और शाम 5.15 तक कक्षाओं को संचालत किया जाएगा। हरियाणा में पड़ रही कड़ाके की ठंड को देखते हुए शिक्षा विभाग ने ये बदलाव किए हैं। आज श्री राम लला की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा को लेकर सभी स्कूलों में छात्रों की छुट्टी की गई थी।

Winter Vacation in Haryana 2023-24
The winter vacations in the state of Haryana will be observed from 1st January 2024 to 15th January 2024. Due to the intense cold, it is very difficult for the students to go to school. No Holidays for Class 10th & 12th
The Director of School Education in Haryana has issued the letter. This letter states that there will not be any Winter Holiday for the students studying in class from 10th and 12th for some schools. Their classes will run in the cold also. This decision has been made at the request of the Haryana Private School & Children Welfare Trust.
According to the trust the board exams/practicals are coming near. Private schools have no time to complete the syllabus in time.
The department has allowed their request imposing some conditions-
- Schools will be open for only 10th and 12th
- School Timings will be 10.00 PM to 12.00 PM
- During winter schools have to provide proper heating and lighting facilities to the students.
- No extra fees will be charged for this
- Schools have to get permission from the parents regarding the classes in winter vacation.

Sir you said that the school management first need to ask the parents for the permission to grant holidays but in many schools no permission has been taken from parents about holidays.
We are also children ,we also feel cold,we also need to stand at bus stop where many vehicles passes due to which very cool air blows and we feel very cold. I think that you would also have that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body but if children get due to cold then what is about education. I know that children are the future of the country but if that future only gets ill with a severe disease then how would the country progress. So I request you to declare holidays for students from class 9to12.
