For the last couple of years, summer vacations in the schools of Haryana were started in the last week of May month.
So the department will announce the summer break for all academic institutions prior to 1st June. All the Primary Schools, Middle Schools, High Schools, and Senior Secondary Schools will remain closed.
The step is taken because of the scorching heat in the state. All the private, as well as government schools, will be closed during these holidays. Teachers of the schools are also asked to give summer vacation homework to the students.
The government of Haryana has issued an advisory to the citizens of the state also.
Directorate of School Education Haryana has also issued an advisory to keep students safe from Heatstroke/Sunstroke.
