The applicant should be at least twenty-one years old. Below that age limit, they are not eligible for this exam. Thus, the age limit differs according to the category. In the general cast, the age limit is thirty-two years, and candidates will get no relaxation.

However, for ST/SC and OBC categories, the age limit for the exam is respectively thirty-seven and thirty-five years. In both cases, the relaxation age limit is five years and three years.
