The notification of IISER admission came out declaring that students applying under SCB Advanced Channel will have to appear in the IAT. The online application form for IISER Aptitude Test or IAT went live on May 25, 20-23+-. Along with that came the scheduled dates for the SCB education course.

Facts about IAT 2024
The IAT Entrance is a national-level entrance examination for admission in a 5 years BS-MS course under IISER. Students who qualify in the entrance become eligible for counseling and selection in any of the below 7 institutes-

A few facts about IAT are-
- This is an online or fully computerized examination pattern
- The duration of the examination is 180 minutes or 3 hours
- The entrance covers 4 science subjects, each having 15 questions with maximum of 45 marks.
- The examination will be conducted in both Hindi and English

Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the IAT, you need to first check the eligibility criteria set by the university for admission to one of the 7 IISERs-
- Aspirants must have qualified in their 12th standard examination.
- The candidates must have passed their secondary examinations with Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as their compulsory subjects.
- Candidates must have cleared their higher secondary examinations with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- There is no age restriction for IISER admission
- A person can apply for the IAT entrance only in twice in a lifetime.
- The candidate needs to achieve a minimum cut-off mark of 60% in their higher-secondary aggregate.
