On World Environment Day, Our school held a tree Plantation event. It was requested that all the teachers and students of the school would participate in this event. The main aim of the event was to plant 100 trees around the school area. The Preparation began one day before the day of the event. We were all very thrilled to be a part of it.
After the morning prayer on world environment day, the program started. As expected, all the students and teachers participated in the event. Everyone was very happy and conscious of the changes happening in our environment. All wanted to play a crucial role in saving our environment from harmful gases and pollution. The program kicked off with a speech by the principal about how crucial trees are for the environment and for living beings.
The excitement could be seen everywhere in the school. Now the time came for the Plantation. All students started to plan trees 1 by 1. 1st of all, we planted trees in the school garden. We did not stop planting until we were sure that there was no room for other plants left. Once we saw that no trees can be planted there we moved to other areas. All the students were very happy about the plantation process.
As we were planting, our teachers were constantly telling us about how trees help the environment stay healthy. The cutting of trees is making the earth a very unhealthy place. A lot of lives depend upon trees. If we talk about the forests, then you may be aware that a lot of animals and birds live on trees. When people cut the trees, they are also destroying animals’ and birds’ homes.
The event lasted till 5 Pm. After the event, our principal gave a very good speech about the importance of trees. He told us we should all contribute to the betterment of our beautiful planet. It was the end of the event.
